How long to garage door springs last?

Can the sun make my door not close?
It sounds bizarre but it can. Safety sensors use IR light to communicate. If a receiving sensor is facing the sun the sensor can be blinded from seeing the transmitting sensor. However, this might be a sign that safety sensors maybe fading away. We can troubleshoot this better for you.
Why is my door crooked?
A door being crooked usually means that the cables where not moving at the same time. This could mean that a cable has broken or frayed or a cable has rolled off a drum or a drum has migrated. Either way, it is not recommended to repair or adjust these things with out knowledge and proper tools. Cables transfer spring tension to the garage door. If a cable is release this can cause personal or property damage if not done properly. Please call us if you have a crooked door.
